I just stumbled upon a single lesbian mom group here in San Diego - it's not very big, but it's a new group, so maybe it will grow.

Also - a single mom group might be a good place to meet matchmakers. It seems like my straight female friends are all about the matchmaking. Maybe some single straight moms in your area might know some awesome lesbians who will be great step-moms. :)Les Make Babieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00589858411118433896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2194386970975164367.post-5929037059689991932010-05-06T22:45:36.397-07:002010-05-06T22:45:36.397-07:00I think most people meet their significant others ...I think most people meet their significant others doing things they normally do in their daily lives, like school or work or hobbies or volunteering, etc. The problem is that as a parent, the most things you do tend to involve meeting other parents, which is generally awesome for building a support system... but not awesome for dating purposes because most of them are not single. I'd imagine especially not in the parents of your kids' age group (because I think it takes a special level of horrible to break up with someone 6 months after they had your baby).

I think step #1 in making reality of your friends match making fantasy is actually letting all your friends know that you're ready to put yourself back out there. They might have some ideas, really!

And otherwise, I would encourage you to just be open to the possibility when you go grocery shopping or what have you.

And internet dating is not a bad idea, truly. Is there any way you can keep you Ex out of your profile (different service she isn't on)? If not, I'd just go for it anyway because otherwise you are letting her win!Guineverehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03018643108619181730noreply@blogger.com
